WASHINGTON ― Sen. Bernie Sanders stood up from his chair and tried to end an interview with ABC News when he was asked Sunday whether he would like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to join him in the U.S. Senate.

"Right now, we have, as I said, just a whole lot of people in the Congress. OK, Jonathan, thanks," Sanders, I-Vt., told ABC News' Jonathan Karl, as he got out of his seat, in response to a question about Ocasio-Cortez potentially running for the Senate.

"You want to do nonsense, do nonsense," Sanders added. "I don't want to talk about inside the Beltway stuff."

After getting up from his chair, Sanders returned to the interview seat and took one final question. He was asked by Karl whether he will run for president again.

"Right now, I'm Vermont's senator. That's what I do. And I'm very happy to do it," Sanders said. "I am 83 years of age, and I'm tired."

The present climate in Washington is: OLIGARCHY and AUTHORITARIANISM.

And what is worrisome is the traditional media is bowing and cowing to this trend out of fear and avarice.

And the populace is consuming this "junk news" in the same way they are bound to the narcotics of TikTok and X.

who stooped to be interviewed by her "who's the leader of the Democratic Party" during the rapist's first term. She thought she was asking a gotcha question when in fact she was only exposing her own stupidity. In fact there is never a nominal leader of a party (aside from a national party chair) when that party isn't in power. That's a fact, so her cutesy little question was just a window to her idiocy. And she gets a daily show.

The sad part is that the question would actually trip up people who should have walked out on that B.S. question like BS did.

One of the reasons years ago I took a job that moved us to Vermont. So we could actually support our elected representatives instead of being disgusted by them.
