....could set off actions such as Iran interdicting oil shipments or attacking oil infrastructure. Yes, the US could strike elements in Iran, but the damage to world markets would increase economic instability and could spill out in other unintended and uncontrollable ways. Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and Iran can be hit and temporarily weakened but short of boots on the ground and nation building or a recognized and real Palestinian state they will likely remain and cycles of violence and regional instability will just go on. Hard to see Trump having the focus to do anything that looks like a coordinated military effort over time and certainly not Nation Building.
