The Department of Justice put two prosecutors on leave for pursuing a prison sentence for a pardoned January 6th rioter who was convicted after carrying illegal guns outside former President Obama’s house in 2023. That's what most of the Jan6ers and QAnon cultists thought. Trump pardoned all of them for Jan 6 but didn't keep up with all of their individual continuing crimes so when this guy was going to be sentenced he illegally intervened. He'll probably try to pardon him now. Trump's trying to send the message that his followers won't face consequences for criminal acts on his behalf. Hitler pardoned the rioters of the Beer Hall Putsch and Trump was a known Hitler admirer, the architecture fascination is another shared trait but a comparison between the two is beyond the scope of this post. They need to prosecute these people at the state and local level. Usually when someone is prosecuted at the federal level, the state will not pursue charges but if it's anything Trump related they should consider doing it anyway.
