The reason he wants demonstrations and civil disruption is: It will enable him to institute the "Insurrection" clause in the constitution, which in turn will allow him to use the entire U.S. Military to establish Martial Law. The Republican House, Republican Senate, will agree with him. And the U.S. Republican Supreme Court will confirm his act as being constitutional.
AT THAT POINT TRUMP WILL HAVE A MILITARY COUP, TURNING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY INTO A BANANA REPUBLIC TYRANNY........The Posse Comatatus Act will be instantaneously repealed by The Republican House and Republican Senate, and confirmed by the U.S. Republican Supreme Court.

There are 71 million on Social Security, which has accumulated purely by those individuals with absolutely no contribution by the government.

A large majority live on this retirement............Katie Bar The Door won't offer any protection, as this time, they are coming with DC-10 bulldozers.............

It is Republican's wet dream. A massive amount of U.S. Citizens with no income, no Medicare, No Medicaid, No Food, No Medicines, No Shelter, etc etc etc...........Believe me, those 70+Million will revolt, and Trump is just waiting.............
Every day, he calls Putin and says: "can I do it today, can I do it today.... pretty pretty please"?
The Corporations will love it, wages for workers will drop dramatically, and as an extra sizable bonus, THEY won't have to contribute to Social Security or any other payroll contributions.......

Everyone should read Steinbecks prize winning novel: The Grapes of Wrath. It will give them the day by day struggle of massive numbers of people during the Great Depression/Dust Bowl The similarities are stunning when compared to today..........This time around they will take us back to the GILDED AGE, and ROBBER BARONS domination forever more...............

And thanks for the book recommendation, I know I read it when I was in school, but that was a long time ago. I'm currently listening to Liz Cheney's book (again) in by car and that has been disturbing enough.

Some of us have been screaming our heads off from the rooftops since 1980 when they committed an act of Treason to get Reagan "installed" in the White House.........

I read the Grapes of Wrath in the eighth grade. 1962..................I must have thought like so many others it was a work of fiction.
When I re-read it recently, it was absolutely frightening, and horrific with where we find the U.S. right now......

In the 8th grade, we had a teacher for Social Studies/Civics was a Tyrant.........He pounded U.S. Civics into our heads. Even to the extent of making us memorize the pre amble to the constitution, Bill of Rights, first paragraph of Lincolns address etc etc
Most interestingly he also required out side reading of ANIMAL FARM, 1984, THE JUNGLE, AND THE UGLY AMERICAN.
(he almost got fired for doing so).

I often ask college graduates I know, questions like how many house members are there and how are they divided among the states, Same for the Senators, how many Justices are on the Supreme Court and are they elected or appointed. It blows my mind how few of them can answer even a small percentage of these questions........again un-fathomable the ignorance in America.

Liz Cheney's father, who steered this countries Republican Party through three different administrations for twenty years, didn't come to his daughters defense for the good of our country a single time.......And he stood back, and watched Trump/RepubliCONs destroy her.

If I were religious I would say: God Help Us. but the Republicons have brainwashed those God worshippers as well.

I firmly believe that the RepubliCONS have taken us way past the Point of No Return this time around...

Trump told his MAGAots at his rallies: Vote for me this time, and you won't ever need to vote again. They were so ignorant, brain washed and stupid they didn't hear what he was saying.......And now, they are being kicked under the bus and are whining their heads off......I hate to tell them: YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET TRUMPHUMPERS. The RepubliCONs are telling you that you have outgrown your usefulness, and they don't need you anymore.....all future "elections" will be like the ones in Russia, China, NKorea, Iran, etc

And I know about "freedom of speech" and all, but I cannot comprehend why Fox "News" is allowed to spread dangerous lies among the American people. My World History teacher was one of my favorites and, after the fact, I also have come to appreciate my 9th grade teacher who taught us a whole lot about the Civil Rights Movement. When I saw Viola Liuzzo's name here on DU, I knew exactly who she was.

And you're right, Fox "News" or not, too many Americans are just not paying attention now during what I consider to be a crisis. I often see a guy at local meetings who went to the same school, a couple of years behind me, and since we had the same teachers, we often chat - and I don't know what his experiences were, but he has no interest in what's going on in this country and the world right now. If I bring anything about politics or current events, he just changes the subject.

And I do recommend Liz Cheney's book, she goes into detail into the lead up to January 6th and what she and other House members experienced that day. Though she and I are completely different regarding politics, I have to admire her courage to speak out and follow her conscience, and the Constitution, despite all it has cost her. Only 10 Republican House members voted yes on the second impeachment, including Liz Cheney, and only two were reelected to the next Congress.

It's long past time for every American to wake up! Stay safe!
