For the fourth time, the former presidential candidate will speak at the New Hampshire AFL-CIO Labor Day breakfast in Manchester on Sept. 4. He is adding a second stop at a picnic and rally in Concord.
Sanders will be the featured speaker at the annual organized labor breakfast, to be held at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Also confirmed to speak are New Hampshire U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan and U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, according to New Hampshire AFL-CIO spokesman Alan Raff. Raff said U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter have not yet confirmed appearances.
The breakfast is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and Sanders is scheduled to speak at 10:30 a.m.
Following the breakfast, Sanders is scheduled to speak at a Labor Day Celebration with Bernie Sanders, hosted by the progressive Rights and Democracy NH grassroots political group at Rollins Park in Concord, beginning at 11 a.m.
The group is calling it "an afternoon of music, food and political action." The event is free and open to the public, the group said. Sanders spoke at a similar Rights and Democracy NH event in Warner on Labor Day, 2016
