The original Lord's Prayer translated from Aramaic

O breathing life of all existence, you who dwell in the dimension of light and vibration from which all things emerge,

May the sacred vibration through which you organize reality be recognized and honored in everything we do.

May the sacred queendom — the divine feminine creative principle — fully express itself in earthly reality as it does in the dimension of light.

May your loving desire for the full expression of divine consciousness be realized in earthly reality as fully as it is in the dimension of light.

Provide us today with the nourishment — physical, emotional, and spiritual — that we genuinely need for our full flourishing.

Release us from the energetic knots we have accumulated as we release others from the grip of our resentment toward them.

Do not let us become lost in the illusion of separation from you, but free us from the immature consciousness that arises from that forgetting.

For the divine feminine creative principle, the power of life, and the radiance of all existence belong to you through all cycles of time. So be it — grounded in me, expressed through me, made real in the world through my conscious participation.

Many thanks to Libby for posting!

I challenged the sociopolitical control mechanism referred to as Catholocism every step of the way from age 6 on. Yup, my ass was always in hot water, but I never waivered.

"O breathing life of all existence...."

The Bible uses breathing as a prerequisite for life in many obvious places. It makes me wonder if the "Life begins at conception" crowd has ever actually read the Bible.

...Jewish tradition says that life begins when a baby takes it first breath. This is when its soul enters its body. In the Christian testament John 1:1 begins with, "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word IS God..."

One time I asked a Jewish scholar why they used the word, "Word" in John. And why was it capitalized in English. He said, that it is because "Word" in Hebrew and Aramaic meant, "Breath," or "Soul." with a capital. It was when God basically enters our bodies to give us life.

The people in Jesus time already knew that life began with the first breath. He never said anything different from the writers of the New Testament. And if he worked with female prostitutes, he never said a word about what they had to do to ply their trade. Pregnancy was avoided by inserting a grape, or apple seed into the womb (as it contains strychnine, and stops pregnancies), an ancient form of birth control. They also would insert an apricot pit in camels when going on long journeys to keep them from becoming pregnant.

If it had been an important religious issue to bring up, it would have been mentioned by the writers who quoted Jesus. Never a word.

MY take on what I have studied, but I am no scholar, I just spent most of my life studying these things. Hope this helps,

Love, Cat from Seattle

...in church whenever I call God "She." I have spent a lot of years studying archeology and old religious texts. My favorite is "The Gospel of Mary," because whether or not she and Jesus were married, he trusted her (I think they were). Whether or not this is an accurate translation, I love it ~ and I will read it in church when it is my turn to lead the service as an Elder.

TY for posting this and of course TY Libby ~ oh I love that girl!

I wonder if the current patriarchal version is one of the results of Constantine ordering all self-empowering info removed from the bible under the penalty of death?

I don't really care enough to researchbit, but the thought did cross my mind.
