I think we've all encountered rude people on planes. One time, a woman asked me to change seats with her because she wanted her sister to sit next to her. I was sitting next to my spouse! Why would I change seats?

If she was old and needing someone to help her and you are younger and see she is in distress, you could discuss with your spouse and give her the seat.
