Why would you drive in Paris?

Drove back into Paris today to return the rental car. Sunday, from the north to Gare de Nord. 6 kilometers in 30 minutes. About walking speed average.
Fun having motorbikes fly by on both sides, cars doubling up at left turns and then squeezing in. Mrs. Crank did an excellent job of piloting and we followed Google maps.
We ended up with a Renault Clio shooting brake, station wagon on your side of the pond. Pretty decent car, diesel, around 60 mpg for approx. 700 miles.
Glad to turn it in and rely on walking and transit for the next 3 days before the train home.

I loved the transit in France. Never waited more than 10 minutes for anything. appleannie1 2 hrs ago #1

Always got laughs when I showed the tape. And that was decades ago. It's far worse today. Congratulations for surviving.

My cousins in Luxembourg take the train to Paris because they also hate the traffic there.
