We did, too. Bought all regular maint items well ahead of time, en masse & things that could be foreseen to need replacement.

No accounting for the horrid condition of the roads in this Memphis region, or the high amount of garbage that flies up and hits things, like condensers.

Even the higher universal ones are back ordered.

If anyone has one in like-new condition, I am more than interested in talking to you. And I would prefer oversized universal fit to get better cooling.

that there are a couple of really good warehouses. You cars at at the point where parts are hard to come by. I have the same problem with my 1994 Audi S4.

It's amazing really.

One of the reason we love the old Honda products, well, that and that they last forever. LOL

Parts are impossible to find. We buy what we can used on EBay, then store them till they're needed.

Esp since kraznov was coronated.

People are going to be furious when they can't get parts.

Have you tried jpcarparts.com? Hou have to pay shipping from Japan, but they are delightful to do biz with & ften have new old stock! They search the entire country for hard to fnd parts & came throubh for us more than once.

Good luck in your search!

We've enjoyed it immensely, up until now.

LKQ stands for like, kind, quality. They generally charge a set price for given parts. In Tampa the condenser goes for less than $60. The condenser is the radiator-like part that sits in front of the radiator, air passes through it and cools the refrigerant.

Bought an engine from them 10 yrs ago or so. They sent the wrong engine and refused to replace it with the correct one.

They have a "no returns or exchanges" policy, even if they make the error, as they did with my engine. Something to be aware of.

Ty for the ida, though.

I always pull my own when need be. I read above your comment about more cooling capacity, long story short, there is a work around I used on a car with faulty computer control of the fan, if you think that would help.

This is all well "above my pay grade," but I've passed it along to gs (resident IT, home maint. and mechanical guy - LOL).

He is all about designing and re-engineering things. He loves Ecomodders and is getting 50 mpg in our old Hondas. The legend is less, but is really a heavy boat with a cast iron engine. (we drive very little, so it's not so bad, and likely is getting much better mileage than every pick-up truck on the road - somewhere in high 20s.)

TY again for sharing your hack!

When the choice comes down to learning how to fix the roof or getting wet, some of us look for a ladder.
I believe we're outnumbered!

I'm just glad I will never have to buy a brnd new car -- plastic parts on engines. shameful, imo.

Interestingly, was able to get Moog boots for Legend, but nothing aluminum. Fucking kraznov, no doubt.

TY!

PS - If you order from Rock, screenshot what the price was supposed to be. They screwed us a few years back, raising the price on a cam AFTER we bought it. Of course, they refused to adjust it beause I had no proof. Never again!
