Woods, who played golf with President Donald Trump on Sunday, released in a statement that "I planned to tee it up this week, but Im just not ready. I did my best to prepare, knowing its what my Mom would have wanted, but Im still processing her loss.
"Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I hope to be at Torrey later in the week and appreciate the continued kindness since my Moms passing."

maybe Trump will make him commissioner.

(882 posts)3. Why does anybody care?
He is 49. He has had a whole series of serious operations. His last win of a Major was 6 years ago. It was a good one: The Masters, but that is a course that has always fit his game well. Other than that one, his last major win was 16 years ago. He is currently ranked 1181st.
He only plays in half the tournaments now and misses the cut more than he makes it.
He is certainly on the short list of best golfers ever, but that is long over with. There are plenty of great golfers out there today.
Hero worship is not a very good idea in today's world.
