Former figure skater Dick Button dead at 95.

Breaking on my phone. I wish I had something good to say but he took pleasure in demeaning competitors, especially women, as a commentator.

I actually did a Google search on him about an hour ago since I wondered if he was still alive. He certainly could be a curmudgeon, particularly when a skater had poor technique or it was evident that the skater had poor training.

He was a little old school, but I enjoyed when he and Peggy Fleming worked together. He was a bit pointed, but he also sometimes just let us listen to the music and take in the performance. I like Johnny and Tara, too, but like most modern commentators, they never stop talking.
