Taylor Swift, Caitlin Clark Cheer Chiefs To Divisional-Round Win
Growing up some three hours away from Arrowhead Stadium, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark said she used to attend at least one Kansas City Chiefs game a year.
So in a way, it wasnt overly surprising to see the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year sporting the red and yellow of her favorite NFL team at Saturdays AFC divisional-round bout between the Chiefs (15-2) and Houston Texans (10-7). What likely was surprising, though, were her seats.
Clark was shown during the ABC broadcast sitting in a suite reserved for the family of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce the same suite often shared by his superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift. Clark and Swift were seen sitting together during parts of the contest, and were even shown hugging after Kelces 11-yard touchdown reception early in the fourth quarter.
I had family in Kansas City, and I grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, which is only three hours from Kansas City, Clark told Travis and Jason Kelce during an episode of their New Heights podcast earlier this year. Thats just the closest NFL team.
My brother loved Tony Gonzalez. We would, like, go to one game a year growing up because my cousin was down in Kansas City.
