(189,747 posts)Ross is a Michigan alum and big donor. I had been hearing rumblings about Michigan hairball going to the Bears.

Speculation here in Chicago is the Bears won't make a strong move on him, unless he contacts them showing interest.

(72,183 posts)Pace was there 7 years. One winning season, 2 playoff appearances, both games lost. (One playoff position came after an 8-8 season.)
The draft capital is abysmal given the trades to move up for Trubisky & Fields. Two quarterbacks taken high in round 1, in 4 years with multiple picks as the cost.
Sure, he got Quinn & Hicks right and he signed Mack. But, the holes in the defense are too big for that front line talent to have enough impact.
Nagy was never my cup of tea. He's one of those guys that think his precious system matters more than the players.
Nice guy, rotten head coach.
Trubisky was too bad to keep, but he's now lost multiple games with 5 other quarterbacks, 3 of them HE brought in!
Also, Pace had to go because he's chosen 3 failed HCs already. He's obviously not good at his job, either.
