OP
Viking are the best cruise ships because they're more civilized now -- no gambling, kids; only adults and culture travel

Good. I hate it when the kids gamble. Pennies, ball cards - what the hell?

From St. Petersburg to Bucharest, then overland to take the Budapest to Amsterdam cruise. I enjoyed the civility...no kids, no gambling, no moronic stage shows.
I must confess, the idea of pillaging was very attractive when we went through the huge library at the Monastery of Melk, Austria!

... They don't raid monasteries but they do dine and dash. And you'd still have to paddle.
