is it just me?

whenever i talk to someone new, the ones who say they are part native, it is always cherokee. i have never heard any other tribe named. guess the cherokee were/are quite popular. i am ojibwe, by the way.

I always wondered about that especially since the Cherokee ancestor was nearly always an "Indian princess".

If you've never caught any of Charlie's comedy, give it a look. Charlie is Oneida-Mohawk-Cree and a funny, funny and VERY nice guy.

one eighth, father's mother's side. no paperwork/documentation has been found in the genealogy. Yet.

I had originally thought that my ancestry was part Cherokee, until I started doing the research. I located a guy who is very probably my great-grandfather on the Choctaw section of the Dawes Roll.
