(12,000 posts)I'm of the opinion that playing a villain really shines a spotlight on the abilities of an actor. That's what I'd want to do if I was one.

To be honest, it's the only performance of his I've seen (other than STNG), yet even in that small-ish role, he added a most qualitative depth.
