IDLE THOUGHT
We as gardeners should have evolved as a gorilla body shape. Most of gardening is done bent over
thats why we love our raised beds. Being able to walk with your arms as gorillas then be able to operate on two legs standing up would be ideal
at least for me.

(5,589 posts)I wasn't too excited -- my only experience with asparagus was as a child, and our asparagus came in a can. I let the asparagus go to seed the first year, not paying much attention to it.
The next year I was grilling in the backyard, and saw some decent new shoots in the garden. I smeared some butter on them, popped them on the grill, and have been an asparagus fan ever since!

(13,129 posts)They were wild at one time. They reside at the back fringe of my mini-stead in an area I reclaimed from the fields.
Weve foraged for wild asparagus so I knew what to look for in the fall. Then slowly resurrected the crowns
were up the three now.
Along with the spring peas coming along were looking forward to a nice bowl of asparagus and pea soup.
Springtime garden orgasm!
