Spicy Indian Noodles, thanks to a jar of Maya Kaimal Kashmiri Curry and those 6-minute soba noodles from Trader Joe's. We're at the end of the heatwave, and I'm all out of desire to cook anything. This noodle dish is a 10-minute job. Pic is from their web site.

Any additional vegetables that are added to this dish are from my garden--I'm being very careful about cyclosporiasis.
Kombucha is cherry-ginger.
Dessert is a vanilla mochi and decaf iced coffee.

(25,283 posts)A fisherman has a shop setup across from the marina where we're staying for a few days. We scored some oysters and a flounder filet. I'll roast some potatoes with onion and garlic and make a big mixed green salad. (We were able to re-provision the boat this afternoon.) Pinot Grigio is on ice. Ice cream from the truck across the street for dessert.

(2,568 posts)Have you tried their fat udon? They come in a 3-pack and are already cooked. You just heat them up in whatever sauce and go to town. (Have I pimped these before?
) I havent had ramen since I found these, and theyre great to toss in a bag for work lunches.

I love these noodles. So easy. The big trick is to cut off the cooking exactly when they say, which I think is 6". I've messed it up before and they get "gluey." Or shall I say mucilaginous?
Yes, they would be great to take to work for lunch.

(70 posts)Its only good for one re-run, but Ill finish it off- its not really that much.
This made me think of a memory. Ive been making this for 25 years at least. And when my kids would come home from school, they would say oh you made clam sauce AGAIN because I would often make it for myself for lunch - its quick and easy. But then they would go on to eat it. All that was left lol

(2,103 posts)My wife went out to dinner with friends so I made an air-fried frozen black burger that I put on whole grain bread with salsa. Also made steamed cauliflower with mushrooms and fresh herbs and I sliced a large tomato and drizzled it with balsamic. Cheers!🥂
Cher, your noodle dish looks delicious. Gonna have to get those noodles next time I go to TJs.
