Lime Chiffon & Tangerine Jubilee 🌞



TART LIME CHIFFON PIE

4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1/2 cup superfine sugar
4 T lime juice

Beat these ingredients together in top of
double boiler. Cook until thick.

1/2 T unflavored gelatin,
softened in
1/3 cup cold water

Add to mixture and allow to cool.

4 egg whites
1/2‘ cup superfine sugar

Beat whites until stiff and add sugar gradually.
Fold into cooled mixture. Pour into pie shell
and chill before serving.

TANGERINE JUBILEE

. .. many a world-traveled gourmet has never tasted this dessert.

3 cups orange juice
3 T sugar
6 tangerines, sections of
2 jiggers brandy, heated

Melt sugar in orange juice in chafing dish at
the table. Add tangerine sections. Allow to
heat through, then add brandy and ignite.
Serve in warmed dessert dishes.

Ed. Note: I've NEVER seen this recipe anywhere else!
He must've been living in Florida!
