Nationwide egg recall issued as Salmonella outbreak sickens 79 across 7 states

https://www.foodsafetynews.com/2025/06/multistate-salmonella-outbreak-linked-to-eggs/

A multistate Salmonella outbreak tied to eggs from August Egg Company has sickened 79 people and prompted a nationwide recall, according to the CDC. No deaths have been reported.

The outbreak spans Arizona (3 cases), California (63), Kentucky (1), Nebraska (2), New Jersey (2), Nevada (4), and Washington (4), with illnesses reported between Feb. 24 and May 17, 2025. Six people in Kentucky, New Jersey, and Washington reported travel to California or Nevada before becoming ill, suggesting they may have been exposed while traveling.

Stay safe, all!

I recall telling my parents at a very young age that growing food & practicing medicine for profit is wrong.

Although they were lifelong, staunch Dems, I'm sure they wondered how the commies got to their 6 or 7 yr old kid. Lol

You are absolutely correct! Repukes are trying to kill all of us.

So much for "pro-life," right?

We save egg cartons for them from friends and family and they reward us with free eggs.

feathers, not about the health of the chicken. The darker the feathers, the darker brown the egg. You can look it up.

Everything fits: retail chain and brand, timing, symptoms.

Big store and major presence in the Bay Area. Family-owned, and not beholden to shareholders, is key. It's why I shop there and their sister stores Nob Hill and Bel Air.

I've started buying well in advance & freezing for a while to see if any recalls crop up.

By now, with all these issues with Salmonella, don't ya think we would find what causes it, and how to destroy it forever? At least test for it before it leaves the farm.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Trump probably destroyed the research and development department by now. Instead, people are dying. With all the cuts he has made, most of the it will be proven to be a huge mistake. Wait til he puts 11M without insurance.

I hope the democrats are keeping count of what this moron has done. Because, when we win in 3.5 years, it will all have to be undone.

Hell, he's already trying to rehire people from some of the mistakes he's made so far. Yeah, firing a bunch of people for no purpose, nor reason, nor research, has proven disastrous.
