I made some crusty white bread in the Dutch oven, some chocolate chip cookies, and Thai red curry for dinner yesterday and today. Kind of mismatched stuff but DH and I liked it anyway.

I've recently discovered black beans and rice, so we'll give red beans and rice a try.

They aren't as inexpensive as regular canned black beans. Black beans and rice is such a cost-effective meal that it has become a cliche that way.
