Breakfast Wednesday 26 February 2025

Good morning!
I had hot tea, toasted chibatta and heated on it halloumi cheese. First time I have tried this cheese & I really enjoyed it.

Thank you again Emile

Note to self: get halloumi cheese. ✍🏼

I’m going to make a four egg broccoli cheddar omelette so I have some left over for tomorrow. Potato cake in the air fryer.

Earl Grey tea; hot, of course.

Glad you are feeling well enough to resume breakfast thread, IB.😄

Blue skies and over 40 degrees at 9 a.m. is a blessing.

4 egg omelet? Are you independently wealthy or do you raise your own chickens? LOL

breakfast sausage and American cheese on a small sub roll.

I used to eat an egg every day, but we can't afford it now.

I've been looking into protein sources that feel like breakfast (I typically feel down-right ICKY if my brekkie doesn't have some decent protein) and it turns out that Cream of Wheat--if made with milk--provides 10 grams. Not too shabby. If I can add some vitamin-rich fiber (fruit or veg) this may be an option.

Found them for $5.99 in a local Asian grocer. Larger store, not tiny ma and pa. Almost got quail eggs as they were $3.99 dozen

Maybe if ya have an Asian grocery check them for eggs that aren’t $9…or more.
At six$ I decided that I could have a 50 cent egg for breakfast and also have on hand for other dishes.

Had some on Valentine Day at a Mediterranean joint. Served with roasted veggies and basalmic.

For breaky I made one egg, two slices of bacon and cooked a small potato in the bacon fat. Coffee
