They were cooked & frozen.
So, i heated them in a roasting pan with 3" of water, some Zattarain's shrimp boil & bay leaf at 270° for about 40 minutes.
The only side was gnocchi with a bechamel sauce with smoked gouda & parmesan.

I needed the freezer space and found out i've collected 3.5# of them. I'll oven fry them and have 2 or 3 dip sauces. I got a small jar of mole from the grocery to dilute out with broth from canning chicken. There's also the taster from the salsa verde I just got into jars (4 pints). And I might stir-fry the rest Kung Pao style. Probably rice on the side.

This will last for several meals, obviously.

My friend from Mumbai invited us to his mother’s house for Sunday dinner. There were about 20 guests. Wow. It was early but delicious and we met some marvelous people!

Mulligatawny soup and vegetable samosas with chutneys and other flavorful sides for appetizers.

Mains were chicken tikka, lamb vindaloo and a vegetable biriyani. Aloo paratha and naan breads along with onion relish and mixed pickles. Basmati rice, of course and there was a green salad, too.

Kingfisher beer, soft drinks and mango lassi as well as ice water to drink.

We felt fortunate to be invited to such a regal fast!

i have been making soups all wrong for years. the onion + celery raw in a bowl. add enough in a bowl + zap 3 minutes + i have soup + salad in a bowl. crunchy veggies taste so much better.

Sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes. I don't know what I did, but it tasted divine

I cooked enough potatoes to make potato soup in the next day or 2.

Then I modestly say to myself, "Let's face it: you're a good cook."

Steamed plant-based frankfurters with mashed potatoes, steamed carrots, sauerkraut and red cabbage. Blueberry chia pudding for dessert. Cheers! 🥂
