Don't know how those of you in cold climates do it

It's decently cold here and all I want to do is eat soup and stews and lots of bread! I've made bread and focaccia and I even ate a store bought bagel that I buy for others. Just toasted that thing up like there is no tomorrow. I don't eat bagels!

I walked an hour and a half because I never got too warm but it doesn't justify wanting to eat bread as a snack all day.

I feel like a bear going into hibernation

playing in the snow, when you come back inside your toes and body will be burning warm all evening. That soup will taste better. The bread will melt in your mouth. Kinda of doing the cold plunge/sauna thing the Finns do.

But this colder weather makes me want bread and noodles and beef stew!

If you're cold,
Wear dry socks
Put a hat on, even if you're inside
Layer your clothes
Eat chocolate
Put barley in your soup

I grew up s.w. of Cleveland, and learned about cold early
