(21,615 posts)The buttermilk is good until Sept. 4th.
I've got the rest of the ingredients.
These are $12/lb. at the "health food" store (aka rip-off store).
Glad I learned how to cook at a young age.
My father taught me how to bake.
Let me know how it goes and how you like them.

(21,615 posts)I used a tsp. of vinegar added to milk; no buttermilk left.
They came out good, but they are better w/the buttermilk.
Yummy indeed and so easy to make (only six ingredients!).
Glad you like them!

(23,412 posts)In the 70s I had The New York Times Bread and Soup Book which I got rid of years ago when I moved. Recently I thought about these Cheddar Cheese Circles that I used to make. I looked everywhere online for the recipe and checked the library too to no avail... until... I looked in the Internet Archive!!!! And they had the book!! I couldn't believe it. This is the page I saved from the book.
Also I'm addicted to these things from Trader Joes and I put a little Marmite on them. I love cheesy things.

Just in case you don't have any.
I have some left and I plan to make another batch of them tomorrow.
I froze the ones I made a week or so ago and I've eaten all but two of them.
Let me know what you think of them.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and yes, they are very easy to make!

(15,263 posts)The very best cheddar biscuits are slathered with garlic butter before baking. Trust me on this.
