1. Yes, you did the right thing- believe it firmly.

If you've read my stuff here you might get the impression that I have it together, and I do for the most part. But it's been a long struggle and I still see a psychiatrist and take medication. I'll probably have to do that for the rest of my life. My brain is altered from genetics and getting roughed up when I was a kid.

It doesn't seem to me that you'll have as tough a road to go as I did. You seem to have weathered the rough stuff better than I did and everybody is different. But yes, you did the right thing, you're on the right path- keep going.
