I've gotta stop being afraid

fear stalks me. I'm worried I'll give myself a heart attack. I'm going to ask for FMLA at the start of June. I'm scared to ask, though I've done so before. Fear, fear, fear.

I hope everyone is doing okay!

I have a great therapist and psychiatrist. I just get so far gone sometimes, even with meds

I call it "worst case scenario hell" in which I can go from zero to Apocalyptically Bad Outcome in .0018 seconds in virtually every situation.

Keep reminding yourself it's your jerkbrain fuckin' witcha... not objective reality, no matter how much the cortisol in your system argues agin that.

Take walks outdoors if you can. Or just sit outdoors someplace pleasant, and concentrate on steady breathing for a few minutes.

Therapy does help.

This, too, can pass.

Holding you in the Light.

sympathetically,
Bright

I've posted this before & several folks replied, saying it really helped them!

Another nice feature: as soon as very brief registration is completed, the first week's videos are immediately available!

I'm in red hellhole TN. But I have my own home, food, utilities, all I need. So I'm grateful for these aspects.

Have you ever done a gratitude journal?

Write 3 things you are grateful for each night just before bed, then reread list from start to end.

Entries can be anything such as sunshine, new shoelaces, or the name of a 0erson ypu are grateful for. 👍

These past 6 months or more have been a nightmare.
They have tried medication after medication.
They just seem to make things worse.

I’ve been offered meds before and have chosen not to get started. I prefer to try to “deal with” things (bad choice of words, I know - and this applies only to me) as naturally as possible. Concrete things like breathing and sunlight, talking to anyone who will listen, and trying to write things down.

My story isn’t anyone else’s story and we are all unique and different. Just wanted to send a waive and a hug. Hang in there.

I feel like I’m on an adrenaline drip these days. It’s always something. Much of it is real life situation - like being unemployed and facing some major, major home repair issues.

I wish I could run away. Add COVID to life issues (for all of us) and no wonder we are all about to crumble.

Keep putting one foot in front of the other. One step at a time. Sit down and breathe when you need to, but always get back up.
