Anyway I got the all clear from uterine cancer in time to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I have months. I was so looking forward to partying when the evil doer was gone.

(13,143 posts)...with this terrible news.
I am sure you have already looked into it, but there are many clinical trials for pancreatic cancer underway. Your oncologist is probably aware of anything promising in your area. Or you can explore centers in your area on your own. For example, here in Seattle, Fred Hutchinson in involved in research involving targeted drugs and genetically modified immune-cell therapies.
Clinicaltrials.gov is more of a scattershot approach, but clinicaltrials.gov results can be narrowed by applying filters like "recruiting" "interventional" "phase X" location, age, and adding "stage X" as a keyword. And then there are sponsors, like the Pancreatic Action Network https://pancan.org/research/

(1,989 posts)I'm so sorry you got that news. My ex husband has had all kinds of treatment for pancreatic cancer. He's been fighting it for years. But his life has been taken over with the treatments. It a hard row to hoe. I wish you a lot of love in whatever time you have left here on this mysterious blue marble in the Milky Way. 💜

(820 posts)That every one of my worst days are better than trump's best. But I think they are!
My garden (and the parks and roadsides) are bursting with daffodils right now. Rhododendrens are blooming and my magnolia is covered in buds. And I have an indoor basket of hyacinths. Pity none of my current furries approve of cuddles or pets though

(320 posts)but new treatments keep coming. And I DO hear more positive responses (if not outcomes) as each year passes. My wish for you is to hang on and keep fighting. Some day (like the accidental discovery of penicillin by Fleming) some researcher will get an unexpected EUREKA moment. We just can't know when that moment will occur.

(26 posts)There are several studies in the NIH database about Chamomile and more specifically the Apigenin in chamomile having an effect on numerous cancers promoting apoptosis (cancer cell death). I do not recall if it has an effect on pancreatic cancer. I just mention it as drinking chamomile, taking ground chamomile or even apigenin suppliments may be a "can't hurt, may help" scenario.

(7,813 posts)What Trump is doing isn't living, it is twitching and generating random reactionary brain impulses.
Can he stop to appreciate the color and smell of roses?
Can he marvel at the innocence of children?
Can he look at the blue sky while contemplating his worth as a human being?
Sympathies to you by the truckload, but you die a much better person than Trump ever was or could have been.
At the age of 77, I feel I'm dying.
It's a slow, irreversible process, with no specific cause at the moment, but I can feel it.
My ambition, if you can call it that, is to die with my mind and soul intact.
That puts you and me one up on Trump in a big way.
I salute you for a life well lived.

(20,418 posts)not even those with "perfect" health know how long we have. There are so many variables in life.
We all wish you the best. Sometimes the "Big C" will vacate the body as mysteriously as it appears.
Hope for a miracle, and we'll all hope with you.
The atoms of which your present iteration of "Laurelin" is comprised have existed since the dawn of time, and they will continue to exist forever. At worst, you're not going away, you're changing, and none of us know what that change means for us.
