Just watched "Surviving Ohio State" on Max. It was hard for me to watch.
I attended OSU prior to Dr. Strauss coming there, but the scenes of the campus brought back alot of memories.
The testimonies of the former wrestlers was moving and helped to dispel the criticism they have encountered over the years.
Gym Jordan comes off, like always, as a lying weasel who attempted to silence the lawsuit planiffs.
I'm ashamed of the university's responses over the 40 years since the heyday of Dr. Strauss. However, I'll always be a Buckeye.

(1,443 posts)that this sexual predator was in his position for so many years. It wouldnt have been possible without his supervisors and associates, like the hypocritical lier Jim Jordan, keeping their heads down and protecting the sick doctor from accusations and attempts to investigate when credible staff tried to intervene. Its a tragedy it was allowed to go on for so many years, especially when there was so much evidence at hand: just his constant lurking in locker rooms and obsessive showering with students shouldve rang alarm bells and gotten him fired years before he was finally let go. A sad tale indeed.

(7,316 posts)A handful of men are now coming forward... a couple that raised the issue as it happened and how they were never believed and how the town, politicians and school administrators all took the side of the predator.
Stories are just starting to come out and I wonder how many really knew and said nothing.
