Everything now depends on Russia, says Zelenskyy - TVP World News

Our main stories:

• President Zelenskyy says Ukraine will begin talks on security guarantees with the United States once the proposed 30-day ceasefire takes effect. Our Ukraine correspondent, Oz Katerji, has the latest from Kyiv.

• Ukrainian citizens are reacting with mistrust and skepticism after Kyiv agreed to the ceasefire proposal with the U.S. Many fear the move will only benefit Russia, with one resident warning that “it won’t bring peace; Russia will only accumulate more strength.”

• Support for Ukraine in Europe remains strong. Speaking alongside European Council President António Costa, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said any ceasefire in Ukraine must be a step toward a lasting agreement. Costa, meanwhile, stressed the urgent need for Europe to increase defense spending.
