There's a lot of talk right now about Donald Trump's negotiations to end the war in Ukraine. From the United States offering a deal to Ukraine in exchange for rare earth metals, to Donald Trump talking to Vladimir Putin and Russia without Ukraine in the room, to Trump then turning back and trying to appear to be on Ukraine's side.
In this video, I look at all of the pieces carefully, including the individual psychology of players like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, to draw a logical conclusion about the current state of Ukraine negotiations, and where things will likely go from here.

(6,935 posts)Donald wants peace in Ukraine even if it means Ukraine gives up a lot of its territory.
Then Donald wants access to Ukraine's natural resources, maybe share them with Putin.
Ukraine isn't going to be buying this deal.

(108,985 posts)That is upsetting. The media is likewise whitewashing the hell out of all Trump is doing--as though it is "normal" behavior for a US President. sigh...

(108,985 posts)I tried hard to find anything about him--his background, education, any inkling as to why he considers himself both so vested in Ukraine v Putin and possessing expertise on the issues. All this may be true, but why is there no information on him available?

(1,804 posts)is that trump is not negotiating on behalf of the usa, but on behalf of himself.
it would, of course, be cheaper to buy the rare earth than to spend billions on war. the difference is who is doing the paying.

(513 posts)or have forgotten to clarify is that Trump is negotiating on the behalf of Putin and only hopes by doing so that Trump himself is enriched and rewarded as a result of supporting Putin.
Trump is a traitor and his motivations are obvious. Support Putin otherwise Putin will expose what ever Kompromat Putin has on Trump. Trump thinks he'll be rewarded by Putin but eventually Putin will just push him out an upper floor window just like he's done with everyone else he no longer found useful.
