Leaked: Russian 100-Day Economic Plan for Ukraine - Econ Lessons
Moscow wants to turn Ukraine into something like Vichy France of the 1940s.The ideas of occupation and transformation of Ukraine into a Russian Satellite state reminiscent of the Soviet Union was the plan from day 1 for Moscow. Ironically the 100-day plan coming out of Washington opens the door to such a path. The underlying economic premise is to give Moscow access to the mineral wealth in Ukraine while opening to doors to elections before things are stable so free and fair elections will be in question. Ironically this is coming from the messaging from Washington, as pressure for premature elections are strong. Yet the same pressure is not on Moscow. Moscow's idea is to model Ukraine after what historically was Vichy France in the 1940s.
