Trump's Green Energy Sabotage Needs More Attention...NOW!!!

Ben Meiselas and MeidasTouch Network

In my interview with former Governor Jay Inslee, we break down how Trump’s cult-like GOP is gutting clean energy—and what you can do to stop it.

I had a critical conversation on the MeidasTouch Network this week with former Washington Governor Jay Inslee—one of the nation’s foremost leaders on climate action—and what we discussed should set off alarm bells for anyone who cares about American jobs, energy security, or even basic economic sanity.

The GOP’s proposed budget, crafted in Donald Trump’s image, isn’t just cruel. It’s a direct assault on the clean energy jobs that are transforming this country for the better. Jobs for electricians, ironworkers, machinists, and battery techs. Real, good-paying, American union jobs. Jobs that don't require a $40,000 degree but do provide dignity and a path to the middle class.

And Trump? He’s out there calling this the “green new scam,” mocking wind energy with his bizarre “windmills go round and round” rants. Meanwhile, our adversaries like China are thrilled to pick up the slack as we surrender our leadership in the global clean energy economy.

I personally have no use for wind turbines which I certainly wouldn't define them as "green." They are anything but "green."

They have been worse than useless at slowing the acceleration of the collapse of the planetary atmosphere, which is accelerating despite the squandering of trillions of dollars on wind (and solar).

They were never about reducing the use of fossil fuels, and their existence and operation depends on access to fossil fuels.

They were all about attacking nuclear energy. The Germans didn't phase out coal with their wind turbine bullshit. They phased out nuclear energy. They embraced coal.

The results are in: So much for "Nuclear Energy Is Too Expensive."

The orange slime mold in the White House may not know why wind turbines are a terrible idea, but that fact that he opposes them does not make them a good idea, any more than Hitler's enthusiasm for the Volkwagen Bug made the Bug a bad car in its time.

The wind industry is a disgrace to any environmentalist who does what environmentalists used to do, defend wilderness from industrialization.
