Kind of old, Dec 19, but may be of interest: Orlando aerospace facility lithium powder fire

ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Five people were injured after lithium powder caught fire at an Orlando aerospace facility on Thursday

Fire crews were called to Aerojet Rocketdyne, a company that designs and produces ballistic missile targets, at 8:20 a.m., according to NBC affiliate WESH.

Firefighters contained the blaze to a single room and extinguished it.

Three people were taken to the hospital and two others suffered minor injuries. No firefighters were hurt.

In a statement to WESH, L3Harris Technologies said, in part: “Employee safety is our top priority, and we are conducting a full investigation.”
