Quote for the Day:
Knowledgeable Republicans recognize that their recent presidents have set about making the federal judiciary a conservative stronghold, and that they have largely succeeded. It has never been clear to me why Democrats have only selectively resisted these efforts by Republican presidents, but I do know that if another Republican president should follow Bush II, and another generation of conservative jurists is appointed, the federal judiciary will become a bastion of radical conservatism with no interest in restraining presidential powers and no interest in personal rights and liberties, but great interest in servicing the law to meet the needs of social, religious, and business conservatives.

(18,135 posts)1. Well, you learn something every day
I have no idea how long I've been doing the daily Stock Market Watch thread, but I know I've been posting here since before Obama was sworn in.
Today I learned I had never subscribed to the Economy Group!
When I checked out DU4, I couldn't find us!
Now I'm subscribed, and now I can find us.
