This week's (January 5 - January 9) and next week's (January 12 - January 15) major U.S. economic reports

MarketWatch updates the schedule throughout the week. Check their site for revisions. Check the Bureau of Labor Statistics too. They are catching up with delayed reports these days. The delayed releases go through February 19, 2026.

Revised news release dates following the 2025 lapse in appropriations

ADP has been filling in for the missing BLS reports.

ADP National Employment Report will be released on November 5, 2025, at 8:15 a.m. ET. The next weekly preliminary U.S. estimate of the private-sector employment number will be available on November 11, 2025, at 8:15am ET. See below for the weekly schedule through the remainder of the year.

I don't know if ADP will keep issuing weekly employment reports in 2026. The next ADP national employment report will be released on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Edited to add: It looks as if that has stopped. See this:

MarketWatch doesn't list the Challenger, Gray & Christmas job cut report. I'll add it when that day comes around.

Note to self: 2026 Challenger Job Cut Report Release Calendar

Challenger Gray's December job cut report will be released on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

The company released the October 2025 report at 7:15 a.m. on November 6, 2025, fifteen minutes ahead of the published schedule time. This might be the new release time from now on.
