Related: About this forumKansas man asked Iowa Judge for trial by combat
Just saw this A Kansas man has asked an Iowa judge to let him engage in a sword fight with his ex-wife and her attorney so that he can rend their souls from their bodies.
David Ostrom, of Paola, Kansas, said in a Jan. 3 court filing that his former wife and her attorney had destroyed him legally. The Ostroms have been embroiled in various disputes.
His filing says the U.S. has never explicitly banned trial by combat. Her attorney asked the judge to reject the request.

(18,470 posts)5. I had an opportunity to buy a Toledo sword back in late 2018
I have been kicking myself that I didnt buy it and have it shipped home.
I could have sent a picture of myself to above mentioned limp duck asking if he really wanted to go there.

(3,131 posts)2. Meanwhile the judge went off on a bender
The judge says he won't be issuing any decisions soon, citing irregularities with both sides' motions and responses.
The article doesnt give details but this couple have been at it in court for a while.
The judge must be just wishing this pair would go away.
