Florida Man just discovered that
George Emmanuel, 54, was collared late Wednesday evening after a sheriffs deputy spotted his vehicle speeding in a 35 mph zone.
After being pulled over, Emmanuel--who was wobbly and had watery and glassy eyes--performed poorly on a series of field sobriety tests. Additionally, his blood alcohol contest was measured at .218 and .211 (.08 is the legal limit).
After being read his rights, Emmanuel admitted to consuming 1-2 shots of whiskey prior to driving, according to an arrest affidavit. The Gulfport resident also reportedly declared, Im a professional drinker.

Back in the bad 'ole days, when cops stopped a "pro" drinker, they would lead them home. Amateurs were locked up overnight to teach them a lesson.

(14,099 posts)6. Where I was teaching, Jersey City public schools. up to the 70's, end of school year found some
schools' faculties having end of year parties. A significant number would get plastered to the point that cops were aware of the day-evening event. Cops would pull over teachers and direct them to stay in the cars until 6:00 a.m., near the end of their shift.
"If this car is not here at 6:00 when I drive by, you will get a summons in the mail."
