German police have come to the rescue of a man being chased by a baby squirrel.
Officers in the south-western city of Karlsruhe responded to the call for help and arrived to see the creature still terrorising the caller.
The squirrel was taken into custody after it abruptly fell asleep.
A police report of the incident say the persistent rodent has become their new mascot, and has been dubbed Karl-Friedrich.

(11,730 posts)2. When I was standing watch at a Naval Base one night
I had a call from an officer claiming there was a squirrel chasing people and kids around in officer housing.
I laughed it off, but then sent base security to checked it out. They thought the squirrel had rabies. I sent animal control there and they said no, it wasn't rabies, just a very aggressively friendly squirrel who was use to getting treats from the residents.

(7,706 posts)3. We had a guy in my town call 911 because he was being attacked by a turkey.
Later, he testified in front of the city council and said they should all be destroyed because they were dangerous.
He was listened to and then privately laughed at by most people, especially me.
"Have you ever seen turkey teeth? Like fangs!"
