New Linux Exploit Just Dropped (Before the Fix) - (Dirty Frag)

Last edited Sat May 9, 2026, 08:50 PM - Edit history (1)

Another NEW Linux vulnerability called Dirty Frag is making people worried because there's currently no official fix. A bug has been hiding in the Linux kernel where a normal user can gain full root access using a Linux Kernel Exploit. It affects most major Linux distributions.

to Sector 001 for his consideration and caring attention to the needs of the Linux users here. Without his PSA's how would we poor unfortunate Linux users ever know to update our systems when issues like this arise.

So this exploit has already been fixed. I just updated one of my systems with the fix. It took about 10 minutes start to finish.

Here is a useful information article on the fixes for this exploit that Sector neglec........ er forgot to mention.
