I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 10.

Whenever I click on a link in Google News in Chrome, it opens the link a new window in Google News. I don't want it to do that. I want it to open the link in a new Chrome tab, as I had it set before.

How do I change this default?

1. I click the link with the mouse wheel - it will open the link in a new tab

2. I just right click the link,

and select 'Open link in new tab', the top option on the drop down menu. I am also using W10 with Chrome, btw.

But I'm hoping for a way to change this default. This started happening not long ago.

5. I'm hoping now that W10 updates are over I can make some minor changes

that will not get countermanded later on.
Chrome probably will still screw with me for a while but every time it updates, I wonder what they will screw up next.

6. I'm pretty sure you can also hold down the ctrl key and click the link?
