A Russian website (that doesn't admit it's Russian) was central to spreading the lies about the murderer - see https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=3281717 and https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/jul/31/how-false-online-claims-about-southport-knife-attack-spread-so-rapidly . I don't know if the average far-right thug is happy to be directed by Russian trolls, indifferent, or would be pissed off if they were intelligent enough to find out.

...they will just find themselves getting proscribed as terrorists.
Although that could be the best thing that could happen for British Conservatism as it could force the right to move away from endless race-baiting and "culture wars" codswallop.
