(132,949 posts)was in charge of the Bank of Canada Conservative Prime Minister Harper tried to recruit him or something. He refused as he was probably a liberal then. Then he became Gov. of the Bank of England. So his plans are probably old but he really appeared on the scene for us in late 2024 and early 2025 when there was speculation Trudeau was going to quit..

(55,973 posts)raised in Edmonton. It's interesting that he was able to attend Harvard by both a partial scholarship and financial aid (a student loan I'm assuming). It shows he 'pulled himself up by his bootstraps' in a very impressive way, imo, as opposed to trump who was born with a silver spoon in his ugly little mouth and yet is still a loser.
