(102 posts)Two young men at the start of their journeys only to have it taken away in an instant.
I am sure the controller will bear this enormous burden for the remainder of this life.
Ive spent 47 years working in this field, part of it with the FAA and I can state with certainty after retiring a few months ago that Ive never seen the environment as low as it is now. Its as if the Administration wants to drown and privatize it. The probable cause will be issued but these two young mens families wont find any solace in an NTSB report, but we can honor them and keep their fires burning but getting involved in what ever way we can.

(320,548 posts)And, now seeing their pictures.. it's even more heartbreaking. They are so young and full of the joys of life there.
It was such a stupid tragic accident.
Mahalo for this Swede.. I was looking for news of them today.. and somehow I missed this until just now.

(806 posts)My heart breaks for the pilots, the truck drivers, and my fellow controllers. All, and their families, had the single worst night of their lives. It is easy to assign fault to this incident, but the blame lies solely with the FAA. Our airspace system is crumbling before our eyes. This is not a safe time to fly.
