Permit revoked for MAGA musician's concert at Parks Canada site, but show will go on (CBC)

Nice bit of schadenfreude that I haven't seen mentioned here yet.

Parks Canada says a U.S. singer and rising star in the MAGA movement will not perform at a national historic site near Halifax after the federal agency revoked the organizer's permit, but the show is slated to go on at a new venue.

Christian rocker Sean Feucht was scheduled to play a concert on Wednesday night at the York Redoubt National Historic Site, a fortification constructed in 1793 to help protect the port city.

Feucht, who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Congress as a Republican in 2020, is also a missionary and an author who has spoken out against the 2SLGBTQ+ community, abortion rights and critical race theory on his website.

In a video on his Facebook page late Wednesday morning, Feucht noted that people have been gathering for Halifax Pride Festival events over the past week, "but now they're not so tolerant when peaceful Christians come together."

The article goes on to say that Moncton, Charlottetown and QC have also canceled on Feucht. His ironically named "Revive in 25" tour isn't off to the greatest start. Boo hoo.

1. Feucht is a right wing christofascist windbag.

His permits were revoked when the citizens realised how divisive his commentary was. It wasn't his singing that was the problem. He was trying to import his MAGA into Canada. It was his self-righteous anti-LGBTQ hate speech, his anti-abortion moralizing, his anti-immigrant obscenities and his RACISM.

Canadians do not find him entertaining, relevant or wanted.

2. Pride is about love & participation. Those "peaceful christians" are about hatred, intolerance, violence, & oppression.

Those "peaceful christians" have churches to come together in. They have lots of the levers of power.

It's funny-sad that a bearded long haired guy with a guitar who looks like a hippy and doesn't brush or comb his hair hates all the freedoms that the hippies brought in. It used to be that the hard core American "christians" hated his type with a vengeance.

Freedom for him but not for non-white non-males.
