Brothers and sisters,

UAW Local 291 members at Cummins in Oshkosh have been on strike since March 18. They are standing strong and have rejected two unacceptable contract offers. Cummins continues to bargain in bad faith and there has been a charge filed with the NLRB.

A heartfelt thank you to the many union locals, labor councils and building trade councils, union members, students and community members who have walked the line, brought meals, donated supplies, and provided financial support. Special thanks to the Northeast Wisconsin Building & Construction Trades Council, AFL-CIO for hosting successful solidarity grill-outs with union made bratwurst for striking UAW local 291 members and their families. Going on strike is never easy and the support and solidarity from our brothers and sisters is essential.

The Wisconsin AFL-CIO encourages union and community members to continue to support our striking Local 291 brothers and sisters in one or more of the following ways:

Join the picket line at Cummins, 1118 High Ave, Oshkosh, WI, anytime Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm
Email Cummins management to express your support for Local 291 workers and demand that the company bargain in good faith:

——— North America Operations Leader: john.e.judd@cummins.com

——— Vice-president and General Manager: ken.hogan@cummins.com

Drop off donations of household products such as hygiene items, paper products, nonperishable food and baby essentials at the UAW Local 291 Union Hall, 1118 High Avenue in Oshkosh.
Drop off food and beverage items at the picket line for Local 291 members
Make a financial donation here at Donorbox >

The members of UAW Local 291 are taking a stand for the American middle class by pushing back against harmful temporary worker contract language and an increase to an already high level of mandated Saturday work. Please continue to show your support and appreciation for their fight.

In solidarity,

Stephanie Bloomingdale, President
