Primary narrows field for Cedarburg, Hartland-Lakeside, Oak Creek-Franklin school boards

Some suburban Milwaukee area school districts had so many candidates file to run this year that they required primary elections Tuesday to narrow the field ahead of the April general election.

Eight candidates ran for three seats on the Cedarburg School Board, seven candidates ran for three seats on the Hartland-Lakeside School Board and five candidates ran for two seats on the Oak Creek-Franklin School Board.

Here's how these primary elections played out and who voters will see on their ballots for the April 1 general election.

The top six winners for the Cedarburg School Board primary — incumbents Laura Stroebel and Elizabeth Charland, and challengers Heidi Laurila, Paul Demczak, Brooke Justinger and Gina Tozer — will advance to the general election April 1. The three candidates with the most votes April 1 will serve three-year terms.
