Primary election results could shake up 5th and 9th aldermanic districts in City of Racine
5th district results
In the 5th district, incumbent alder Melissa Kaprelian faced Raymond Ellison and Jens Jorgensen. In the end, voters chose Kaprelian and Jorgensen to move onto the April 1 general election.
9th district results
In the 9th district, four candidates ran for the chance to replace Alder Terry McCarthy who chose not to retain his seat.
Grace Allen, Eric Hillery, Colin McKenna, and Patrick Schwanke all threw their hats into the ring. In the end, Allen and Schwanke prevailed.
