Madison City Council primary election: These 6 candidates advance
As elections staff counted absentee ballots and voters headed to the polls in single-digit temperatures on Tuesday, several candidates in Madison appeared on the ballot to be elected City Council members this spring.
In each of the three council districts with a primary Feb. 18, the two candidates with the most votes will advance to the April 1 general election.
More than 415,000 people were registered to vote in Dane County. The districts with primary races on the ballot for alder on Madison’s City Council are west side Districts 9 and 10 and District 12 on the north side.
