61% of Washington voters disapprove of Trump's performance; 59% say his policies will hurt their household budgets

A little more than three-fifths of likely 2025 Washington voters disapprove of Donald Trump’s job performance, while a similar percentage say that his policies will have a negative effect on their household budgets, the Northwest Progressive Institute’s most recent survey of the Evergreen State’s electorate has found.

61% of 621 likely odd-year voters interviewed online from March 22nd-25th, 2025 by Civiqs for the Northwest Progressive Institute said they disapproved of Trump’s job performance, while only 36% approved. 3% were not sure.

Asked what effect they thought Donald Trump’s policies will have on their household budgets over the course of the next year, positive or negative, 59% said negative, while only 32% said positive. 8% said they were not sure.

Trump’s 61% disapproval is entirely consistent with what we saw in his first term, which ran from 2017–2021. When Trump regained power, he also re-assumed his weak standing with voters in Washington State, who mostly find him abhorrent.
